Probably the first portion of vol. 3 of Johann Mayer's Pomona franconia. (Nurnberg: A. W. Winterschmidt, 1776-1801). French and German in parallel columns. Hand-coloured plates. Beautiful volume with 20 original watercolor illustrations of apples from Germany. This work is most noted for the 212 original watercolor illustrations it contains. It features descriptions and illustrations of newer and exotic plants in Wurzburg, Germany.
