|Memory of the 1968 Tlatelolco Massacre in Mexico.|
Frederik Trovatten posted a photo:
This place is called “Plaza de las Tres Culturas. This is the place where the Tlatelolco massacre happened in 1968, where the Mexican government killed hundreds of students protesting and more than a thousand students were arrested.
The official government explanation of the incident was that armed provocateurs among the demonstrators, stationed in buildings overlooking the crowd, had begun the firefight. Suddenly finding themselves sniper targets, the security forces had simply returned the shooting in self-defense. *******
A investigation in 2001 revealed documents showing that the snipers were members of the Presidential Guard, who were instructed to fire on the military forces in order to provoke them and give them a reason to open fire.

Dorothy Kilgallen, What's My Line?, 1954|
classic_film posted a photo:
Reporter and columnist for the "New York Journal-American", Dorothy Kilgallen (July 3, 1913 – November 8, 1965) is seen here as a celebrity panelist on the popular American TV game show "What's My Line?" Kilgallen has donned a mask to pose questions to the celebrity guests for this episode, who were newly crowned Miss America Lee Meriwether and film director Alfred Hitchcock. It aired on September 12, 1954.
Kilgallen was found dead in her New York apartment on November 8, 1965. Her final appearance on "What's My Line?" had aired just the day before, on November 7.
To date, no one has been arrested for her mysterious death, and some believe she was murdered because she was getting too close in the investigation to find the truth behind the deaths of John F. Kennedy and Marilyn Monroe.

He was an Italo-American journalist and television host. For the history of Italian television he has been an institution as Italy’s famous quiz master between the 1950s to the 1980s. As such he played himself in various films too. Even if he lived in Italy for most of his life, he kept his American nationality until he turned 79.

8461 Büste / Skulptur - Denkmal von Jacob A. Riis, Journalist + Fotograf; geb.
